Mission and Vision: Charting the Path Forward
Our mission at CVMM is to cultivate and sustain a vibrant Marathi community through cultural events, educational programs, and social gatherings. We aim to provide a supportive environment for members to express their cultural identity and integrate harmoniously within the broader society.
- Short-Term Vision: We are on track to complete the NPO formation, start a Marathi library, and organize 4-5 grand events, thereby expanding our cultural and educational activities and community engagement.
- Long-Term Vision: CVMM aspires to become a cornerstone of the Marathi diaspora in the Central Valley, with a dedicated facility for cultural and educational activities, supporting cultural preservation and community welfare.
Gratitude and Looking Ahead
An honest thank you to everyone who participated in the meeting and survey. Your input and enthusiasm are the driving forces behind CVMM's growth. We are excited to embark on this journey together, raising a sense of belonging and cultural continuity among Marathi-speaking individuals and families in the Central Valley.
Diwali Event Reflections: A Resounding Success
The survey results presented at the meeting painted a vivid picture of our Diwali celebration's success. With feedback on communications, cultural activities, decorations, food, and management scoring above 80%, it's clear that our efforts resonated well with the community. This positive response is both encouraging and motivating for all of us at CVMM.
Participants also provided valuable suggestions for future events, which we eagerly look forward to incorporating.
CVMM NPO Formation: Community Support and Enthusiasm
The second part of the survey focused on the formation of CVMM as a Non-Profit Organization. The majority of respondents showed strong support for this initiative. Additionally, there was a consensus on the structure of membership fees, accommodating immediate family members and traveling parents.
The community also shared insightful ideas for new initiatives under the CVMM umbrella, indicating a vibrant future for our organization.
Stay tuned for more updates as we continue to build a vibrant and inclusive community at CVMM.
